In the Shade of the Minaret offers classes for all ages encouraging students to ponder and reflect on the events and individuals which shaped our past. Learning about our history will give Muslim students a deeper appreciation for Islam, together with the invaluable contribution of Muslims throughout the ages. Our courses serve as a fantastic supplement to other school studies and also teaches students valuable research skills.
All classes are taught by Ustadh Abu Ayyub. Combining his expertise, passion and story-telling style, he teaches history in a fun and informative way, weaving his love for Travel and the Sacred Sciences to make history come alive!
An avid reader, Ustadh Abu Ayyub loves bringing little-known sources to the classroom, while his illustrations, maps and AI creations adorn course slides and posts.
